Trangent is an audit and optimisation engine for retail transport plans. It sits alongside the system that builds your plans, checks what they cost and what they broke, and finds cheaper plans that keep every rule. The Health Check is how we put it to work on your depot.
How we work
Four principles, built into the software
- Advice, not autopilotTrangent never overwrites your plan or touches your systems. Every improvement is a new version to compare, and people decide what goes to execution.
- Calculated, not guessedCosts, rule checks and KPIs come from fixed calculations. Re-run the same plan on the same data and you get exactly the same figures.
- AI proposes, Trangent checksAI suggests changes and explains findings in plain words. It never sets a figure: every proposal is checked and costed by Trangent, and anything AI says that isn't in Trangent's results is flagged.
- IndependentWe don't sell planning systems, so the report has no reason to favour any of them.

What does the work
Built for UK retail distribution: metres, pence and pallets, UK delivery windows, and the UK rules for HGV drivers' hours.
- The evaluatorChecks every run, stop and order line against your rules and master data, and works out cost, distance, fill, idle time and empty running.
- Road distancesDistances and drive times from open-source road routing, with a labelled fallback when a road route isn't available.
- The improverTries targeted moves: merge part-empty runs, use a smaller trailer, swap a contractor run for an own trailer, collect a backhaul. A move is kept only if every hard rule still holds and the cost goes down.
- The full re-solvePlans the day again from scratch with a routing solver, for comparison. Recommended only when it meets every hard rule and costs less.
- The AI layerProposes plan changes, explains results in plain words, and drafts rules from site documents for review.

Every example on this site is synthetic
We show what Trangent does with synthetic depots, generated by its own test data generator, never with customer data. We'll only publish a customer's results, name or words with their written permission.
